Dhirja Dharamshala

A big Dharamshala was constructed by our ancestors for the rest, food and stay of tired travellers. Seth Nihal Chand s/o Kala Mal and Seth Patram s/o Ballu Mal laid the foundation stone. This dharamshala is known as Dhirja Dharamshala. Though the Dharamshala was constructed more than 100 years ago, it is in good condition and is used by people of Narwana for ceremonial occasions. Every year, family reunion celebration - Birthday of Seth Dhirja Mal is celebrated here.

Sati Bhorkhe

Sati-Bhorke, situated on the outskirts of the city, are worshipped twice in the year on Amavasya of Bhadra and Kartik month. Bhorkhe symbolize the male ancestors and Sati symbolizes the faithful and devoted female ancestors of the family. Every year the premises is white-washed, the sons and daughters-in-law of the family worship and take blessings of elders. Timely renovations are made to the structure. Recently, Atul Garg s/o Mahavir Garg has made renovations.

Dhirja Mandir

This beautiful temple was constructed by the collective efforts of family members. All Hindu festivals are celebrated with great pump and show. Goddess Durga, Laxmi and Saraswati, Shiv-Parivar, Ganeshji, Hanumanji and all Hindu gods and goddesses are worshipped here. In the big open courtyard, special celebrations take place on festivals.

Dhola Kuan

The sons of Seth Dhirja Mal are said to have made long and tough Tirthyatra. When they returned they heard of the problem of drinking water for the people of the surrounding area. They made the arrangements of a well dug Dhola Kuan. Till today the surrounding area is known as Dhola Kuan. The statues of both of them, Sdasukh and Ram Ratan, are still on the remains of the well.

Seth Dhirja Mal Rajkiya Jalghar

Our family has always tried to solve one great problem for the people of Narwana - the problem of drinking water. When Bhakhra Nahar was under construction, more than 5 acres of land was donated. The Haryana Government wanted to construct a Jalghar and for the construction, we gave 11 acres of land belonging to the family. Near Gurthali village, a Jalghar is made which fulfills the need of drinking water for more than 1/3 of Narwana. This Jalghar is named as Seth Dhirja Mal Rajkiya Jalghar. Nearby areas are highly benefited by this Jalghar.
